Why did you go into Personal Training?
Emilianne believes weakness is an opportunity for growth, which helps fuel her passion for encouraging people to reach their goals. “I have a strong passion for fitness and a desire to help people. From my past struggle with an eating disorder, I learned that denying my body the necessary nutrients caused more harm than good. I want to help people take care of themselves, pursue a healthy lifestyle, know that the mirror or the scale does not limit them and that their bodies are capable of doing so much!”

I am a work in progress with Emilianne, and what a great cheerleader and knowledgeable trainer! Ten months ago, after double knee replacements and a very complicated 2nd surgery to repair completely torn ligaments that support the knee, I was unable to go up or down stairs, couldn’t keep my balance, you name it. Her supportive guidance and knowledgeable and challenging exercises have me progressing towards normal faster than I ever expected. She explains how the muscles work together, is helping me increase my flexibility and strengthen my core, and is always trying to create new challenges so I’m never bored. She is very personable and always keeps track of whether I am doing something incorrectly or slacking off on the ‘count’! She’s also quick to point out my progress, which, given how immobile I was when I started, is a huge encouraging boost.

I have been training with Emilianne for almost two years, and I couldn’t ask for a better trainer. Emilianne has patiently shown me how many machines work and other exercises that helped my joint pain and strength building. This is my first experience with a Personal Trainer, and my trainer Emilianne is excellent. She is very knowledgeable, encouraging, and engaging. I never tried free weights and always found them hard to start, but with her guidance, I can add deadlifting and bench-pressing to my fitness routine. She also taught me how to do circuit training, which is very efficient and fun, since I am not a big fan of cardio.
