Why did you go into Aquatics Instruction?:

I have been swimming ever since I could open my eyes. I have developed a passion for swimming ever since. I swam competitively for 8 years. I aim to share my love for swimming with everyone who takes lessons with me!

Tori is an excellent trainer. She has helped me progress in my strength training in so many ways. There was a machine that I hated to use, but I knew was key to developing my quad strength. She showed me how to adjust the machine so the top part wouldn’t make me feel uncomfortable. Also, when I had a back strain, she showed me how to keep working my legs without putting pressure on my back. My back has since healed, and I didn’t lose any leg strength. Tori is patient, knowledgeable, and listens to exactly what you are trying to achieve. I would highly recommend her.

Bri is a fantastic trainer. She has properly taught me how to exercise safely to achieve the best results for my needs. She is careful about the limitations I have due to arthritis. She encourages me to pay attention to what I am doing and not push myself beyond my limits. I feel she honestly makes the best program for my needs and truly cares for my well-being. I have learned not only the movements from Bri but also the why of how each exercise improves the body. She helps me understand what I am doing. Sean has been my Personal Trainer for several years and has seen me rehab through injuries, one of which required spinal fusion surgery. Before this surgery, I couldn’t walk. Sean took the time to communicate with my Physical therapist at the end of my post-surgical PT to make sure I would continue progressing to full function. This past September, I tore a muscle in my hip, again affecting my walking ability. After an appropriate healing time, I have worked with Sean to strengthen the area and am back to full mobility. He is a wonderful person to work with, very enthusiastic, empathetic, and motivating to his clients. I would give him my highest recommendation to anyone looking for a Personal Trainer.

Some people enjoy exercising. I was not one of them until I started training with Victor. My training sessions with Victor seem to fly by. Since I am a senior citizen, Victor asks me how I am feeling each day before each session. He then tailors our session to accommodate what I am capable of doing that particular day. Victor is also knowledgeable about sports. So if you are a sports fan, Victor is the trainer for you. He also knows a lot about old movies and can give you good recommendations if you ask him. Since training with Victor, my balance is much better and so is my muscle strength. All in all, my physical capabilities are much better since training with Victor. All I can say is that Victor is the “best” trainer ever.

I’m in my second year of training with Hannah, and my skeletal muscle mass and body fat percentage remain in the optimal range according to InBody testing! This is very important to me as I age. We also work on strengthening my back and surrounding muscles to help keep me pain-free from aging disc degeneration, which is of utmost importance. Hannah mixes up the routines to keep them interesting and effective, and time goes by quickly because she is so great to work with. I highly recommend Hannah as a trainer.

In light of the impending Winter Storm Fern, we are planning for the Center to be closed on Sunday, January 25.

All Center activities are cancelled for the day.
