Kurt Nusshag

Kurt earned his Bachelor of Science degree in sports management from East Stroudsburg University. He is a certified personal trainer and Group Fitness instructor from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. This combination makes him ideal for those looking to participate in Small Group Training as well as one-on-one sessions.

He specializes in sports performance training, especially for soccer. His workouts focus on increasing stamina and strength, whether on the field or in daily life. Kurt provides customized fitness sessions to assure safe, effective workouts.

I loved the special the Center ran when I joined: three free training sessions. I wasn’t sure I’d use them though. I had been working out for seven years. I knew what I was doing, right? After a year off from fitness, I decided to try personal training. I’m glad I did! I met with Kurt who was very professional. He took time to get to know me and personalize a fitness routine accordingly. Kurt introduced me to fitness equipment I never knew existed. He shared many new ideas and routines. It was great! Kurt made getting back to exercise exciting. Every time I left the Center, I was anxious to return. I was sore, but in a good way. Kurt is motivating. He cheers you through some really tough moves to keep you going. He is a huge asset to the Center. Those who have him as a trainer are fortunate.

Kind is not normally an adjective you associate with a fitness trainer. Disciplined, relentless– able to leap tall buildings– might seem more appropriate. Kurt is all those things. However, it is his innate kindness that makes you feel he takes time to know you so he can help you. I have found the strongest people tend to be best measured in how they live. Kurt could be boastful (I mean, he was a professional soccer player in Europe); but, that would be about him, not those who seek his skill and support. He takes his role seriously but does not come off as serious. Instead, he plans for your success with specific exercises. When you perform them, he finds something to celebrate, even when your form is not there yet.
